Privacy and personal data

Your privacy matters to us. Although the amount of data we process is very limited, we take great care in handling it responsibly and securely.
BlizzYou creates personalized Human Design reports. To generate these reports, we need a limited amount of personal information. This privacy statement explains what information we use, why we use it, who may process it and what happens to it afterwards.
Who is responsible for your data?
BlizzYou is responsible for the personal data processed within the BlizzYou report platform. If you request or receive a BlizzYou report through an independent BlizzYou professional, coach or practitioner, that professional is separately responsible for the personal data they process within their own practice, website, CRM or other systems.
A professional may provide your information to BlizzYou for the purpose of creating a report. BlizzYou uses this information for the report process and related services.
What information is used for creating a report.
Depending on the report, we may process:
- Your first and last name.
- Your email address.
- Your date of birth.
- Your exact or approximate time of birth.
- Your place of birth.
- Information required to connect two or more Human Design charts when you request a relationship, family, team or other connection report.
We only ask for information that is needed to create, deliver or support the requested report or service.
Why do we need your birth information?
Human Design calculations are based on birth information. Your date, time and place of birth are used to calculate your Human Design chart and generate the information used in your report.
This information is not collected for profiling you for advertising purposes.
How is your report generated?
BlizzYou uses specialist software provided by Bodygraphchart.com, operated by Human Design Technologies Ltd. in the United Kingdom.
Your report information is transferred to this software to calculate your Human Design chart and generate the relevant report.
Under its Data Processing Agreement, Bodygraph processes client information on behalf of the user of its software for the purpose of generating Bodygraph charts and reading reports and for providing related technical support.
Bodygraphchart.com states that client information used for this process is stored for no longer than 90 days from the date it is collected, after which it is automatically deleted unless a longer period is required by law.
Bodygraphchart.com also states that it applies technical and organisational security measures, including encryption, security assessments, staff training and procedures for detecting and responding to security incidents.
Data processing in the United Kingdom
Bodygraph is operated by Human Design Technologies Ltd., a company based in the United Kingdom.
Personal data may therefore be processed in the United Kingdom. The European Commission currently recognises the United Kingdom as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data under the GDPR.
Free reports
A free BlizzYou report may be made available through a form embedded on the website of a participating BlizzYou professional. When you enter your information into this form, the information required to create your report is processed through the BlizzYou report system.
The professional through whose website you request the report may also receive information relating to your request. That professional is responsible for explaining how they use your personal information for any purpose outside the creation and delivery of the BlizzYou report.
Requesting a free report does not in itself give permission to use your personal information for unrelated purposes.
If you are offered newsletters, marketing emails or other promotional communication, the appropriate permission should be requested separately where required by law.
Reports requested by a professional
For other BlizzYou reports, an independent professional may enter the information required to create the report on behalf of their client.
The professional is responsible for making sure that they are entitled to provide this information to BlizzYou and that their client has been properly informed about how the information will be used. BlizzYou uses the information received for the purpose of generating and supporting the requested report and related services.
How long do we keep your information?
We do not keep personal information longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Information submitted to Bodygraph for report generation is, according to Bodygraph's current Data Processing Agreement, retained for no longer than 90 days after collection and is then automatically deleted unless retention is required by law.
Other information, such as transaction, invoice or accounting information, may need to be retained for a longer period where required by applicable law.
A generated PDF report may also remain in the possession of the professional or client who downloaded or received it. Their storage of that report is outside the direct control of BlizzYou.
Who can receive your information?
Where necessary for the service you request, personal information may be processed by:
- BlizzYou.
- The independent professional through whom the report was requested.
- Human Design Technologies Ltd., operating Bodygraph, for chart calculation and report generation.
- Payment providers where a payment is required.
- Hosting, website, email, CRM or other technical service providers where they are necessary to operate the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
We require personal information to be used only for legitimate purposes connected with the relevant service, legal obligations or other purposes for which a valid legal basis exists.
Marketing and newsletters
Information provided for creating a Human Design report should not automatically be treated as permission to send marketing communication. Where consent is required for newsletters or promotional emails, this should be requested separately.
You can withdraw your consent for marketing communication at any time.
Your rights
Depending on the applicable data protection law, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of incorrect information.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
Ask us to restrict certain processing.
Object to certain uses of your personal information.
Request a copy or transfer of your information where applicable.
Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
A request to exercise your privacy rights will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
Human Design reports and automated processing
Software is used to calculate Human Design charts and automatically generate parts of our reports from the birth information provided. BlizzYou does not use this automated process to make legal, financial, medical, employment or other decisions that have a comparable significant effect on you.Human Design information is provided for personal insight, reflection, coaching and educational purposes.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information processed through BlizzYou.
We also select specialist service providers that are expected to protect the information they process on our behalf.
No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to limit the information collected, restrict access and retain information no longer than necessary.
Changes to this privacy statement
Our services, technology and legal obligations may change.
We may therefore update this privacy statement from time to time.
The most recent version will always be published on this website together with the date of the latest update.
